Digital Radiography

Our digital radiography process utilises an OPG unit to take a panoramic x-ray of the lower and upper jaws, including the teeth. The OPG is quick, very low dose radiation, comfortable, easy to use and rotates around your head (as you sit or stand) as it scans. This lasts for approximately 10 seconds and produces a digital image instantly.

Our digital intraoral x-ray sensors are state-of-the-art. We use very low-dose radiation and are able to produce an instant digital image of your teeth and surrounding jaw bone. We do not use any nasty chemicals to develop our x-rays as they are all digital.

Intra-oral Camera

Our dentists use a TRIOS scanner to view clear accurate 3D images of our patient’s teeth and mouth. Shaped like a wand, the hand-held device is passed over your teeth, gums and other soft tissues. We can usually scan all your teeth in less than 2 minutes and have an instant detailed image of your teeth. The images can be seen clearly on a computer in 3D which enables you to see exactly what treatment is required. Intra-oral scanners eliminate the need for messy and time-consuming teeth impressions that sometimes make patients gag. Our digital scans are more reliable and more comfortable for the patient.
